You Won’t Meet the Same Version of Yourself in Love That You Meet in Solitude

A Wild Woman’s Call to Embrace the Power of Single Era

Woman in white dress runs through a grassy path under a cloudy sky. Text reads: The Power of Being Single Era. Calm and serene setting.

There are versions of you that only solitude can unlock. And there are parts of you that only rise when met, held & challenged in love.

Both are sacred. Both are mirrors. But they are not the same.

And that’s why the single season isn’t a waiting room. It’s a holy temple, where your wild, unshaped self begins to take form. Where the distractions fall away. Where the mirrors disappear and you’re left facing your own raw reflection.

You were given this season on purpose.

The universe didn’t forget you. It handed you time. Time to shed, unravel, scream, rest & rebuild. Time to meet your shadows, your softness, your primal urges. Time to feel what you’ve been avoiding. Time to stop outsourcing your worth to who calls, texts, or chooses you.

The Psychology of Single Era & Shadow Work

Why solitude is the birthplace of authentic love

When you’re single, you’re not navigating someone else’s projections or emotional needs daily. That space is not emptiness, it’s freedom. And in that freedom, your nervous system finally has room to unwind from survival based patterns like people pleasing, self abandonment, or co-dependent tendencies.

From a shadow work perspective, being single is fertile ground. It invites you to look at:

  • Why do you crave connection or avoid it?

  • What version of you shows up when you’re rejected?

  • How do you respond when no one’s watching?

These are the patterns that drive most relationships unconsciously. If we don’t face them while we’re alone, we simply reenact them with a new face.

Carl Jung said, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” This is your chance to take back the pen.

How to Embody Your Wild Woman While Single

(Not just in theory—but in practice)

🌀 Emotional Alchemy: You make space to feel everything: grief, rage, loneliness, lust without numbing it away. You let your emotions move through ritual, breath work, dance, primal scream. Your emotional fluency becomes your superpower.

🌀 Self Ritual: You start creating sacred spaces in your daily life. Lighting candles before bed, taking luxurious baths, cooking with love. These are acts of devotion. Not for aesthetics, but because your body learns to associate solitude with pleasure, not punishment.

🌀 Exploring Inner Polarity: You become both the masculine and feminine to yourself. You hold yourself through hard emotions (masculine container) and you allow yourself to be soft and expressive within it (feminine flow). This self union teaches you what healthy polarity feels like, so you won’t tolerate chaos masked as passion later.

🌀 Creative Fire: You use your sexual energy, your inspiration, your passion to create: art, poetry, movement, business, anything. The wild woman is not just sensual: she’s expressive. Being single gives you a blank canvas.

🌀 Sisterhood & Boundaries: You sharpen your relational awareness in friendships. You learn to communicate, to say no, to say “I need,” to support without self-sacrifice. These boundaries become your energetic blueprint in future partnerships.

Why Your Embodiment Changes When You’re In a Relationship

(Hint: it’s not about becoming less wild)

Love is a mirror. It reveals what solitude can’t: your patterns in connection. In partnership, your triggers will surface faster. Your attachment wounds may try to hijack your nervous system. Your deep need to be seen and safe may collide with your fear of losing freedom.

This is not a bad thing, it’s the next layer of the work.

But here’s the magic: when you’ve met your wild woman before meeting your partner, you won’t fear losing yourself.

Because she’s rooted now. She’s not a reaction. She’s a choice.

How the Wild Woman Might Shift in Partnership

💫 She still dances, but now she lets someone witness her & doesn't shrink under their gaze

💫 She shares her truth boldly, but she does it with love, not defence

💫 She receives support, not because she can’t do it all, but because she chooses not to

💫 She feels safe to soften, not out of obedience, but because the masculine she chose knows how to hold her wild

And the relationship that grows from this place isn’t built on fear, fantasy, or performance. It’s built on sovereignty + sacred surrender. On inner union, mirrored.

So, wild woman, hear this:

You are not “waiting” for love. You are preparing for the love your soul truly wants.

This time alone is medicine. It’s not about building walls or pretending you don’t want love. It’s about getting so honest with yourself that you’ll never again abandon her just to be chosen.

Let yourself burn. Let yourself rise. And when love finds you, you’ll meet it with open eyes, steady breath & a knowing heart.

The woman who meets him… will not be the same one who once begged for breadcrumbs.

She will be whole.

Wild.

And completely rooted in herself.

This piece was inspired by a heart opening and wisdom soaked chat with @mar.explores, a woman I’ve never met in person, yet feels like a sister across oceans. It’s wild how strangers can carry the same fire. Grateful for the depth, the wisdom & this global sisterhood 🤍🌍🔥
